Christmas with Joel

We had lots of fun this Christmas with Joel. It was just so wonderful to celebrate with him! We opened presents at our house Christmas morning, and then headed to my parents for the day. Joel had a large pile of gifts there, even though he wasn't too interested in opening them. We brought his walker with, so all he did was push that around the house. He even took a two hour nap in the crib in the spare room! Joel got a lot of really special gifts, including a toy chest that my dad made, a star ornament made by my aunt, and a stuffed lamb that has a child's voice reciting the "Now I lay me down to sleep..." prayer. He got some fun toys, too, although in some cases he likes the containers that the toys are stored in better than the actual toys. Sigh...

We hope that all of you had a very merry Christmas, too!

Oh, Joel, you are sooo cute! Sounds like you all had a delightful Christmas. That toy chest your Dad made is so cool! What a neat gift. And is that one of those pop-pop walking stick thingys Joel is playing with? Gosh, I had one of those when I was little and it was so fun :)

i'm with kelly. he is soooo cute! aren't the homemade gifts so special?? and, it sounds like joel and rubin have a bit in common... our boy has NO PROBLEM napping wherever we lay him down. i can't complain about sleep, that's for sure!

that toy box is amazing! homemade gifts are the best - besides the boxes that all the other toys come in!
