Travel Plans

Our travel itinerary has been approved by our agencies, so we are set to go! We leave Friday at 12:35 pm and arrive in Seoul at 4:00 pm on Saturday (their time). We're scheduled to meet Joel next Tuesday morning, and depending on how well he seems to be attaching to us, we will have him on either Wednesday or Thursday. Our flight from Seoul leaves at 12:00 pm Friday the 17th and arrives in Chicago at 10:20 am the same day (can we say jet lag?).

We are so busy getting ready to leave and both a little overwhelmed...but most of all we are just so excited and thrilled to go to Seoul and meet our boy at last! We have been waiting for a child so long that it feels a little surreal. We can't believe that the time is actually here! We imagined this so many times and now it is happening. We are so grateful to God for answering all our prayers and bringing us to this point. We wouldn't change anything in our journey and we know that whatever challenges parenting brings and no matter how difficult an adjustment Joel may have, we will survive. We will embrace parenting with all of its joys and trials and we will love Joel more than we imagined possible.
