We decided to celebrate today by eating at our favorite Korean restaurant. Joel had a kids meal there for the first time and enjoyed the tofu nuggets and laver, which is sheets of thin seaweed. He also really liked the cucumbers.
We then headed to the nearby HMart, which is an Asian grocery store. We got lots of Korean goodies. Enjoying the Korean culture was the perfect way to celebrate our family! When we got home, Joel went to bed and Travis and I celebrated with a cake I made for Joel (even though he couldn't have any because bedtime and sugar don't mix) and some Korean rice wine.
Now that we have Joel, God's plan has become so clear and we do believe that he was meant to join our family. We can't imagine a son more perfect for us. We love Joel more than anything and couldn't be happier that he is forever our son!
