Happy Chuseok!

This past weekend we celebrated Chuseok, which is sometimes referred to as the Korean Thanksgiving. You can read more about Chuseok here.

We celebrated with our good friends on Friday night. As usual, there was delicious Korean food and lots of cute boys.

We all enjoyed bulgogi, bibimbap, mandu, and lots of banchan. After we ate, the boys did a lot of this

and this

and this. It was a good thing we had a room to ourselves!

This little cutie joined his family about a month ago. He is the happiest and sweetest little guy! It was very exciting to have him at one of our celebrations.

Then it was group photo time. We got some surprisingly good ones considering there were no bribes involved. It helps that they are getting older, in fact, we were all saying that dinner was a little bit calmer and quieter from last time. We love celebrating with friends!

 Chuseok is a three day holiday, so we continued our celebration today. In traditional Chuseok fashion, Joel wore his hanbok and we took some outdoor photos. Here are a few cute ones.

He is not into having his picture taken these days. And I'm pretty sure that telling him "you will wear your hanbok and you will smile!" is not a good way to endear him to all things Korean.

We enjoyed more home cooked Korean food for dinner, followed by apple pie. A true Korean/American dinner! We took a walk and admired the beautiful Harvest moon.
