Four Boys and a Rainy Day

We made plans with my cousins and their kids and my mom and aunts to enjoy a picnic at Lockwood Park in Rockford for some Labor Day fun. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate!

It hadn't started raining when we arrived, so we quickly set up under a picnic shelter and hoped for the best. The rain started soon after we finished our lunch, but the boys still had a great time! It doesn't take much to entertain four boys under the age of ten.

This huge cow was a source of interest for everyone.

The bubbles were a hit!

Who needs the park when there are puddles to splash in?

Some playground fun was still managed in between the raindrops.

We don't get together with my side of the family too often due to busy schedules and distance, so it was great to spend some time with them. The boys are so sweet, and always watch out for Joel and include him in their fun even though he's so much younger. Hopefully the next time, we'll enjoy sunny skies and even more fun!

I love that you made the most of a rainy day! Little boys can really have fun no matter what else is going on!

First I was thinking that little boys can have fun DESPITE the rain but, let's be honest, they probably had even more fun BECAUSE of the rain. Nothing better than stomping in puddles, right Joel? Then you should consider a move to Seattle, my friend. Non-stop entertainment!
