Six Months

Today, our baby Joel is six months old. We are so happy that he is a part of our life, but sad that all we have of him are photographs. We want to hear what his laugh and cry sound like, see his cute facial expressions, and watch him scoot around on the floor. This will come soon, though, and for now we know that he is being loved and cared for by his foster family. We will be sending Joel a care package in the next week, and went shopping today for a few things:

A photo album for Joel with pictures of us so that he can become familiar with our faces before he meets us.

A cute little stuffed animal for him to cuddle.

A blanket from Joel's sweet Aunt Kristi and Uncle Brian. They can't wait to meet him either!

We aren't actually sending these in the care package...but at five dollars I couldn't resist!

We'll also be sending a disposable camera for the foster mother to take pictures of him as well as a thank you note for taking such good care of our baby. Please pray that Joel is safe and happy while he waits to come home.

Joel is doing just fine. The foster families are amazing people that truly love our children. It gives me such peace on a daily basis to know he is in a good home with love.

Oh he is so precious! Soon you will have him in your arms! Trust me once you have him, you will not look back at all the waiting. My patience really wore thin while waiting as well. Hang in there my friend.
